Homegrown 5th generation member of Placer County Pioneer Families and descendant of Placer County leaders in agriculture and education. Extensive knowledge and participation in Placer County history.

30 years as manager and owner of a small business providing quality service to customers.

More than 35 years in local government as President and Director of Placer Consolidated Fire Protection District, President and Trustee of Auburn Union Elementary School District and as nearly 20-year member of the Placer County Board of Supervisors.
​
I have worked with people young and old as a board member of First 5 Children and Families Commission and as an advocate 4-H and Future Farmers O America and a long-time contributor to the Gold Country Fair Junior Livestock Auction. Also, Cub Scout Pack Leader and Boy Scout Troop Assistant.
In 2009, I formed the Placer County Youth Commission that has provided an outstanding opportunity for young people to learn about local government and provide informational programs to High School Students throughout Placer County while working with elected officials.

I have also served as a Placer County Board member for Area 4 Agency on Aging and the Placer County Older Adult Advisory Commission.
​
I have extensive experience working with the business community as a founding member of the Highway 49 Business Association and doing business with multiple businesses in Placer County.

This involvement has provided me with name recognition, trust, and respect throughout Placer County.

Worked with the Placer County Executive Office and County Treasurer to begin the process of paying down our retiree health benefit obligation that is now fully funded and our pension obligation that is now 65% funded.

Worked with Mercy Housing to bring Mercy Housing to North Auburn.

Worked with Loomis Fire Protection District to pass a benefit assessment to provide stable funding.

Work with Penryn Fire Protection District to pass a parcel tax to provide stable funding.

Worked with Newcastle Fire Protection District to pass a parcel tax to provide stable funding and build a new fire station, including reaching out to Department of Agriculture Rural Development to provide a 40-year low interest loan to finance the building of the Newcastle Fire Station.

Worked with the City of Rocklin to build a much-needed new Rocklin Library, the pride of the Placer County Library System.

Worked with CalTrans and Placer County Public Works to improve safety concerns on Highway 49 in North Auburn.
